Fees

Application fee

All applicants have to pay a EUR 100 non-refundable application fee. The fee must accompany the application. The fee can be paid with a Bank draft (international cheque) or transfered directry to Vilnius Gediminas Technical University account.

Registration fee

Registration fee EUR 200 is paid with the first tuition fee after receiving the official letter of admission.

Tuition fee

Tuition fees are charged to all students, however the level of the fee and whether deferral or government loans are available depends on the students citizenship, residency status, unit load, and the level of the program enrolled in (undergraduate/postgraduate). All non-EU countries first year students are sent an invoice of tuition fee prior of visa procedure.

Continuing students the tuition fees pay before the beginning of a semester (term) and the payment must be in the Universitys bank account before September 15 (Fall semester) and February 15 (Spring semester).

The following tuition fees for one semester in 2011-2012 academic years are set:

Bachelors degree course 1750 EUR
Masters degree course 1950 EUR
Masters degree distance learning course 1300 EUR
PhD programme 2250 EUR
Pre-engineering course 1500 EUR

Refund policy for International Students Fees

If a students visa is denied, a full refund of fees will be made. Evidence of denial is required.

Money When You Arrive

Students have to open a bank account in Vilnius with the sufficient sum in it 1400 EUR / year. The bank statement from the bank is required.

All expenses related to extension of visa, copying literature, re-examination, and medical services are the responsibility of the student.

Work in Lithuania

The students who intend to work in the Republic of Lithuania must obtain a permit (Work permit) in the Labor Market.  The students can work up to 20 hours per week after the first year at VGTU.
